You could easily spend your entire holiday around the cottage grounds and marina; just relaxing and watching the world go by. But for the more adventurous there’s plenty to do all from within walking distance of your cottage.
River Trips & Day Boats
Take a walk around the Norfolk Broads Direct marina to Broads Tours ticket office and pre-book for one of their several different sightseeing boat tours. In the summer there’s even musical evening trips with live bands. Or hire a day boat or day cruiser from either Broads Tours or MC Marinefor anything from an hour, half-day or day, or even for your whole stay. This gives you the freedom to explore the quiet Swallows & Amazons type river above Wroxham Bridge towards Coltishall, or take the downstream trip past the “picture postcard” thatched cottages with their gardens rolling down to the river, into Wroxham Broad and Salhouse Broad. Then on to Horning for a lunch at the Swan, New Inn or Ferry Inn. You may want more than a day to do all this.
